Ryan Rivera who was born in Davao City, Philippines, is a photographer and film producer based in Toronto, Ontario. Ryan’s artistic style is influenced by the foundation of street photography.
His work is dedicated to capturing the human essence. Innate and unnoticed, Ryan’s work depicts a moment in everyday life that is most often overlooked; people being people. Whether lost in thought or simply on the go, these fleeting moments provide a look into our natural state of being.
He continues to expand his work through the medium of film. Ryan holds a degree in Film production from the Toronto Film School. He draws from his background and experiences to use art as a platform to bring forward voices and stories that have not been heard. Through his photography and films, Ryan highlights the agency and power that we have as individuals and as a collective to build our understanding of each other’s story using arts as the medium of expression.
